I found the prewrite to be helpful because it helped organize my ideas. It was a good tool for my essay because I was able to generate ideas and pick the ones that were going to be relevant for my essay. The prewrite is necessary for me to be able to clearly understand how I want to approach the essay. I was able to use my ideas to form paragraphs that make sense. The prewrite was an effective tool especially with an essay that did not have specific guidelines.

The Big data essay was more challenging than I anticipated. I had to revise my rough draft a lot. To do so, I had to spend hours dedicated to one part of the essay. I had to add a naysayer and fix my works cited page, which was challenging for me. I used points from The Little Seagull book to guide me throughout the essay. I took the comments made on and about my essay into consideration before revising it so I had time to plan ahead. The revision process helped my essay overall. I focused on the bigger parts such as the overall points of the paragraphs and analysis rather than sentence structure and grammar, although I did look those over too.
